The International Statistical Classification of Diseases and
Related Health Problems tenth revision (ICD-10) compliance date is rapidly
approaching. The transition to ICD-10 is required for everyone covered by the
Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Upstate AHEC is
helping healthcare professionals prepare.
Upstate AHEC will be sponsoring two continuing education
classes on August 28 to help providers get ready for the ICD-10. Robbie B. Leonard,
MS, PT, will present ICD 10 Essentials for Therapy Practices –
during the morning session from 8:15 AM – 12:00 PM. An afternoon session will take place from 1:15 PM – 5:00 PM. The classes will be held at Upstate
AHEC, 104 South Venture Drive, Greenville, SC.
